We conduct the road skills test at our Chalmette location.
Price breakdown for Road Skills Test:
$40 to administer the test
$20 for the use of dual brake car
Why take the road test at STB Academy instead of the OMV:
No waiting for hours at the OMV to conduct the test.
Online scheduling available
Appointments available seven days a week
Use of STB car (no need to use your own or have it inspected as you do at the OMV)
We conduct the test in most weather conditions (OMV will not test in inclimate weather)
Please be on time for your scheduled appointment. Arriving late may require us to cancel your appointment.
State Road Test at our driving school requires using one of our vehicles
We do not test in your vehicle. Our vehicle has the required safety precautions, including a dual brake for extra safety.
The following acts will automatically result in a failing score, and you will be required to test again on another day:
Examiner has to use the "dual brake" to avoid an accident
Speeding
Running a red light
Incomplete stop at a stop sign
Refusing to follow the examiner's directions
Providing fraudulent information
